Born on February 7, 1980 in Woodstock, Ontario, and now residing in Norwich, Walters Fall has emerged from the serene landscapes of rural Canada to captivate audiences with his raw, emotive storytelling and distinctive musical style. His sound masterfully blends alternative, indie folk, and singer-songwriter elements, creating an intimate yet expansive atmosphere that resonates deeply with listeners.
Musical Evolution
A self-taught vocalist and multi-instrumentalist, Walters Fall's musical journey began in 1994 with the bass guitar. He soon expanded his repertoire to include six- and twelve-string acoustic and electric guitars, drums, harmonica, trumpet, trombone, and piano. This diverse skill set has enriched his compositions and performances, allowing him to explore a wide range of musical expressions.
In 1995, Walters formed his first band, "Stone Halo," followed by "Milk Man Jr." In 2022, he embraced a solo career under the moniker Walters Fall, performing acoustic sets that highlight his multifaceted talents.
Artistic Independence
Walters Fall maintains complete creative control over his work, managing all aspects from composition and recording to production and visual storytelling. This independence ensures his music remains authentic and true to his vision, allowing for deeply personal narratives that resonate with sincerity and raw emotion.
Community Engagement
In 2023, Walters founded the Guitars for Kids program in Oxford County, acquiring instruments through donations and personal funds to provide children from underprivileged backgrounds with musical opportunities. The program has distributed between 20 and 30 instruments and aims to offer beginner lessons, fostering a love for music among youth.
Demonstrating his commitment to mental health advocacy, Walters collaborates with the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) to organize online concerts that raise awareness and funds for mental health initiatives, supporting CMHA's mission to promote mental health and assist those recovering from mental illness.
